Ryan spent 23 years within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, working with industry leaders in dairy, bread, and seafood categories. During this time, he held a variety of management and sales roles.
In 2017, Dan Roberge brought Ryan (his brother-in-law) into the IGL Financial team, where he soon turned the operational reigns over to him, and Dan tacitly started into retirement. Together with Grayden Biffart, and John Hakkarainen they completed the purchase of IGL Financial in April of 2022, and have now rebranded the business, as IGL Benefit Consultants. Ryan is committed to lifelong learning (completing college, police, and fire education) and is currently working towards his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.
During his working life Ryan continue to pursue his calling in emergency services, where he spent 9 years with the Langley RCMP Auxiliary program (prior to 2000), and then with the Chilliwack Fire Department for 14 years (prior to 2020), where he achieved the rank of Captain.

- Married to his high school sweetheart, for over 30 years, with two amazing children and one grandchild.
- Has driven both a Police Car and Fire Truck with lights and sirens going.
